To better support the national policy and expand the association’s range of service, ROBAOT (Taiwan Robotics Industrial Development Association) and TSMEA (Taiwan Manufacturing Engineering and Automation Technology Association) jointly passed the merger the two associations on December 23, 2010 with its respective board meetings. For the merger, TAIROA (Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association) was first established, and then ROBOAT and TSMEA were both jointly merged into TAIROA. Both robotics and smart automation industries require interdisciplinary automation technology.
